Hello all- Today I will reach the half-way point on my novel! So to celebrate, I'm posting an excerpt from the book.
“Ethan? The door doesn’t work.” Karenina's voice quivered as she spoke.
“What do you mean the door doesn’t work?” Ethan’s words came forced and fearful.
“I mean the door won’t open!” Karenina could feel her body starting to fill with adrenaline, pounding on the door.
“Let me try, here move.” Ethan reached in and gave the handle a firm tug. Karenina pushed a rebellious piece of hair out of her eyes and glanced around for something to aid their escape.
“The windows!” Karenina hurled herself across the room to the large picture windows on the opposite wall. Instead of brittle glass however, the windows seemed to be made of a transparent metal, cold and unyielding. She picked up her abandoned calculus text book and hurled it at the dark surface. The book simply bounced off and landed at the foot of her settee, useless against her windows. In her rising panic, she grabbed her bedside table and slammed it into the barrier. The backlash of the energy went through the table and sent Karenina landing on her backside.
“We can’t get out. Oh my god, I’m trapped in my room with a stranger and I can’t leave. What is going on here!”

Hello~
Hey, I haven't been on recently, but I've been doing NaNoWriMo and I have a choir concert tonight, so here's something that cheered me up, an entry from my laptop's dictionary!

My Mind is My Haven,( First poem published!)
My mind is my haven
My mind is my haven,
My mind is my haven,
My star-ship, my home.
I'm never without adventure,
and I'm never alone.
The doors in my head
Open to untouchable land.
My escape from boredom
And life's great demand.
My time slips away,
So quick in my head.
Life passes away,
Pulled by reality's thread.
So when my eyes glaze,
and my attention's askew;
Know that I'm absent,
Interesting hours so few.
My mind is my haven,
My shelter, my reprise.
I'm never without love,
And no one ever dies.
So yeah, love it, hate it? Should I keep putting poetry up?
Thank you!
Thank you!

Craft: Yarn Wigs
Halloween costume ideas!
I was stumbling across the interwebs and came upon simple directions for a yarn wig, so I decided to make a rainbow one for Rainbow Day during Ally Week for GSA. It was pretty easy, it only took me two M*A*S*H episodes worth of time (approx. 2 hours). I loved the result so much I made another one for the little girl I babysit, she loves pink and purple, don't they all at that age? Though I'd share my good success! If you want the directions, I can share them with you. Just give me a shout!

Pumpkins Round 1
A fun time was had by all, tonight we started the halloween week! My pumpkin is the companion cube in the middle, and my brother's friend did the Aperture logo to the left. My brother got a new droid phone, so he carved the droid man on the far left. My dad and step-mother did more traditional face pumpkins on the right. We're saving the seeds to bake for a fun autumn snack, they're better than potato chips! Looking forward to Halloween, best holiday of the year!
Fall Photos
I had a photo-shoot today and took 240 pictures! I went no further than my neighborhood park and had a great time in between climbing trees and laying on the ground for best results. I only got about 10 quality pictures, but it was a fabulous way to spend my Sunday! Here are the hi-lights of the photos, enjoy the fall weather while you can!
We're carving pumpkins tonight, so look for those photos soon!

Dalek Cake
Remember the Dalek cake I talked about? Well, I made it today and it was a smash! It took me 3 episodes of Hogan's Heroes to decorate, so approximately an hour. But I think it was well worth it.
Soon I will post more LGBT, I promise I'm not just a crazy Doctor Who fan

Almost, Maine
Fall show is now in production! This year we are putting on Almost, Maine. This show is comprised of eight smaller scenes about relationships, wether they are brand new or failing or discovering new feelings. This is a tender play we are showing in our fabulous black box theatre for a more intimate feel. The costuming is fairly simple, mainly winter wear and lots of flannel. What's really fun is the lighting technique we are using to create the northern lights. On the floor, we have two RGB (red, green, blue) strip lights shining up, and we have gobos in our front-of-house light. I can't wait for production!

TARDIS cake
My brother's birthday was today, he loved his scarecrow mask. In my family, I'm the one who decorates most of the cakes, so I decided to do something special for my Whovian brother. I made this awesome TARDIS cake with dark and light blue frosting. I added a key and necklace we had laying around just for decoration. I wish I had one of those "ERA" keys made by the BBC, but there's a limited amount. That one will have to do for now. My uncle's birthday is Wednesday and I'm thinking of trying to make a Dalek cake... We'll see. Thanks-

Presentation for Suicide Awareness
Suicide is a topic I feel very strongly about. I feel that with awareness we can save lives, so what I do is spread knowledge as best I can. Many youths took their lives last year, and a few of my own friends have attempted suicide. It's a serious topic that I wanted to know more about. I created this presentation last year for my school GSA after a rash of LGBT suicides. This is for public use, but please credit The Rainbow Riot, it is very appreciated. Please don't turn this in as your homework, plagiarism is not cool. But please use it in you own GSA, or your own school, workplace, or even just with your friends. I'm going to be revamping this presentation because I was asked to give it to a group of teachers (scary, I know!) so I will be adding things to it. Spread the knowledge, stop the hate!

Craft: Doctor Who 3 Season Mask
Alright Whovians, remember the family of blood in season 3? With Martha and Tennant? That's the one with the creepy scarecrow soldiers! Alright, keep that mental picture.
My brother's birthday is this weekend, and he is a total Doctor Who fan. (not as much as me, but) The Family of Blood is our favourite episode, he calls me sister of mine all the time. So for his birthday, I made him a mask of the scarecrow soldiers with a bit of burlap, model magic, twine, and a mask I got at Party City. It took me 3 episodes of Doctor Who to make, but it was worth it all. I'm so happy with the result! We'll see how it goes over, I'm planning on making him a TARDIS cake, will get pictures!

Introduction Pl00x?
Hello and welcome to my little corner of the internet, from here things get much stranger. On this blog I will be posting my opinions, research, and debates; with a LGBT hi-light here and there (and everywhere).
Also, I will be posting pictures of crafts I've done, projects I'm doing, and all that good stuff.
Someday soon I might be putting my writing on here, but we'll see how that goes. Mostly poetry with short stories sprinkled in...
Theatre stuff will be posted here as well, (mostly tech) as I am a techie at heart.
So yeah, that's pretty much me. I will try really hard for this not to be a published diary. That works out for no-one.
That's about it, I'll think up a good tagline to end these posts, how about, "keep shining" hmm, suggestions please?
Thanks~
